Rates are pre-filled for convenience but always editable. Verify the current rate with your country's tax authority. Calculator results are estimates only, not professional advice.
How UAE VAT is calculated
Adding VAT: multiply the net price by 1.05. A AED 100 item becomes AED 105.00 once 5% VAT is added.
Removing VAT: divide the VAT-inclusive total by 1.05. From AED 105.00 inclusive, the net is AED 100 and the VAT portion is AED 5.00.
The standard rate is 5%, but reduced or zero rates can apply to particular goods and services. For anything you file or charge, confirm the current rate and rules with the relevant UAE tax authority.
